Raised or flush
A raised spa sits 12 to 18 inches above the pool with a spillway edge, which gives you the sound of moving water and a place to sit with your feet in the pool. A flush spa sits level with the pool and reads cleaner in a modern design. Both share the pool's pump and filter and get their own heater and blower.
Heating for the desert
- Natural gas heater. Fastest heat, best for a spa you use a few nights a week. Needs a gas line to the pad.
- Heat pump. Slower but far cheaper to run, and in Tucson's mild winters it works most nights. Pair it with a chiller mode and it can also cool the pool in August.
- Solar. Good for stretching the pool season. Not enough on its own for a spa.

- LED lighting on its own zone so the spa can glow while the pool is dark.

How it works
- Estimate. We walk the yard, check access, grade and setbacks, and talk through what you want. Free, and usually under an hour.
- 3D design. You see the pool, deck, spa and features together in 3D before anything is dug. Shape, finish, lighting, all of it.
- Fixed quote. A line-item quote. Excavation, shell, plumbing, equipment, finish, coping, deck and barrier each priced on their own line.
- Build. A licensed Arizona pool builder takes it from here, pulls the permit with the City or County, and builds to the approved design.
- Walkthrough. Once it passes final inspection you walk the finished pool with your builder, get the warranties, and learn how to run the equipment.
