What moves the number
- Condition of the old finish. A full chip-out costs more than a bond coat but is the right call when plaster is delaminating.
- Tile choice. Glass tile is two to three times the cost of porcelain per foot.
- Deck size. Decks are priced per square foot, and most Tucson decks are bigger than owners guess.
- Adding features. A cut-in spa, new lighting or a Baja shelf are each their own line.
Timing tip. Fall and winter are the best time to remodel in Tucson. Crews are available, the pool is not in use, and you are swimming in a new pool by March.
